Sir Ken Robinson is an English teacher and advisor in education. How to Escape Education's Death Valley is a TED talk in which he explores the failures of the American education system specifically those that were supposed to be remedied by the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Law.

The NCLB law is a 2002 piece of legislation that was passed to deal with the crisis of students dropping out. He analyses why the law has failing in this task. He also discusses the revolution needed to solve these and other related problems that the education system faces.
All the issues he brings up are issues that are also crippling education in Kenya. The system’s failure to engage and incorporate children, the focus on sciences, the view that teachers are merely a delivery system and not creative professionals and an education culture focussed not on learning but on testing are all problems we are facing. He offers workable and practical solutions to these and other problems.
